The number of operators for insulating glass processing should be determined based on equipment automation level, production capacity, order structure and shift arrangement, so as to balance efficiency, quality and cost.
 
For a standard vertical fully automatic production line, the optimal staffing is 4–6 operators per shift:

1 for glass loading, 1–2 for aluminum frame making and butyl coating, 1 for pressing and assembling, and 1–2 for sealing and unloading.

A highly automated line can be staffed with 4 operators, while large or special-shaped glass may require up to 6 operators to ensure safe handling and positioning.
 
Small factories with semi-automatic lines or small-batch orders need only 3–4 operators per shift. For large-scale multi-line production, each line should be staffed separately, with 1 team leader/lead operator for overall coordination. Two or three shifts are recommended, with flexible staffing: temporary workers during peak seasons and combined posts in off-seasons.
 
The core principle is no understaffing, no redundancy, with dedicated staff for key processes to ensure stable quality and efficient output.
